In the course of the 30th anniversary of the senior citizens’ home of St. Maria, the gardens were used to create distinctive Cologne themes with different installations. The tribute to Cologne Cathedral and the Black Madonna was very important to the inhabitants. The Church of St. Mary is a place of pilgrimage with the sculpture of the Black Madonna and is located right next to the Seniors` Residence in the heart of Cologne.
