Concept
Quotes from books by Astrid Lindgren were chosen by the teachers and pupils at the start of the project and were written down by hand. These were digitalized and printed on the special material for the collage work of the mural “Pipi Longstocking with her horse”. Further favorite quotations of the pupils and teachers were painted directly on the hall wall.
Information
Through the art work the old school complex received a more organic transition to the new building. Bridging this gap in architecture between the 2 buildings was an inviting challenge to the artist during the first draft period. The participation and involvement of the pupils was very well received by the teaching staff.
